Haha, yeah, I guess I get a lot more imbalanced in some ways too, like it's already midday and I'm still facing my laptop. :-)

@Shamelle
I've always been somewhat of a rebel and yet I've spent most of my life trying to please others - it makes for a rather chaotic internal dialogue at times.

@Jonathan
Yes, JLS is a great book - growing up we had a squirrel who thought it was a flying squirrel - it would launch itself off a large rock in the backyard, then eventually it started to fling itself off the top of a cedar tree. We call him Jonathan Livigston Squirrel and he was a great rolemodel for persistence. ;)

@Patricia
Exactly. The question "Is this right for me?" is one that always leads me down the correct path.

@Jocelyn
Balance - what a simple concept by so difficult to achieve. I use the Nintendo WiiFit a lot and have learned to give myself a lot of slack in the balance department in other areas of my life - 80% or 90% is very good - and I can live with being unbalanced the rest of the time. ;)

You're right, we do care what others think and say. But unless we have a healthy sense of our own worth, we can easily fall into believing that the only gauge of truth is what others say. The key is definitely BALANCE. We must have a truthful and healthy assessment of our strengths and weaknesses, and we should also be able to discern which people to trust in helping us identify our blindspots.

One of the things I always try to do is to be congruent with myself.Whenever I don't follow myself I make mistakes.Others view may be important especially from those we love, but following our heart and being what we truly are and want to be,listening what others say but always giving an insight is what I think important.We can learn a lot from others and we should give us the chance to learn more from them and at the same time from us.
