I used to think that multitasking was the norm. Even now many companies expect you to multitask. Seems like the have not read this article. Funny, how everybody wants to get more done and end up getting done less and wasting more time.

That's not the point. I stopped multitasking a while back and it's awesome! Now I can concentrate on thing only and get it done right:)

As for the technology, I use it to simplify my life not to burden it. I have used many blockers to limit my access to my e-mail, to social networking and so on.

Nothing is really that important....ever.

Best,
Tomas

I'm recovering from talking on the phone and backing out of the garage at the same time. It cost $350 to take care of the scrathes. I now put my phone in the back of the car where I can't get it. I could just turn it off but then I'd be tempted to turn it back on. Yes I'm taking a new look at focused attention.

Such good advice for these busy times Mark. "Focused attention as a form of meditation" is so valuable in our daily lives. Most of us need to take more breaks to relax and refocus on what life is all about. Multitasking just takes us in the opposite direction.
