Amen Jarrod

Appearances can be so deceiving and we don't really know what's going with folks.

How cool you follow Edison. I find that quote really brings the point home about how we view mistakes and failures. Then there's the story about Colonel Sanders and Kentucky Fried Chicken who was refused 1000 times before someone jumped on his recipe. How's that for confidence!

We can't become more confident comparing ourselves to others. On the outside everything may be dandy for that person but we never know how bad they have it until we're in their shoes. If we trade our cards with others we may quickly find out that we want to trade back.

I love your reference to Thomas Edison, he's one of my favorite past-time inventors/heroes. I heard a statement that when he was asked "How does it feel to have had 9,000 failed attempts at inventing the electric light bulb?" Edison responded "Great, because every time I learned a way NOT to create the light bulb." Powerful!

Now I think we can all get a boost of confidence and inspiration from that.

Thanks for sharing,
Jarrod

Self-care can certainly get negelected Ali. In fact it is one of the first things than can sacrificed during times of overwhelm, fear, and self-sabotage. Even the smallest self-loving actions can bring mental and emotional stabilization!

@Thanks so much Ralph. Some days I flow better than others. I notice when my self-care is off, I tend towards more controlling behavior rather than allowing the flow to guide me.

Have a terrific weekend!

Another winner Lorraine! I love the "go with the flow" point. I think that going with the flow is a sign of a truly confident person. Being able to adjust when necessary instead of worry about outcome is a marvelous way to live. Thanks for another great post!
