What a great topic Paul

The questions were fabulous and continue to point to the fears we have about losing love and approval from others. The cost becomes great when we abandon ourselves to stay in another's favor and esteem.

One pattern that has come up with clients repeatedly is that to be more successful than their parents (which is what most parents want for their children) inhibits success for fear of being disloyal to the family by doing better than their parents or siblings - again, the loss of love becomes a powerfull catalyst to hold people back from actualizing their potential and fulfilling their purpose.

Insanity :D

Cheers,
Lorraine

Some great food for thought here, Paul -- thanks. I know I often tend to default to being loyal to particular brands, etc, but I'd not thought all that consciously before about how I'm "loyal" to my own old patterns of thought.

I definitely recognise the tendancy in myself to avoid moving on or taking the right actions for me because of a misguided loyalty to a mentor-figure.
