Alex - Thanks a lot for posting this beautiful article. guess what? I am 39 and realized the whole thing about "being" and not just "doing" a month back. As you say with the new path, you have to balance like learning a bycicle first time. Since today morning I was kind of dull and could feel that I am going through motions. Then I thought to google and see if there is something out there and here I find this article...

You rightly put it, that it is always there withing you. It's just the matter of nurturing and accepting it. My whole life I have been thinking about what others would think about me. I am sure there are many who would agree with me. However there was always this faith that I am different and I can do it. I can be like others (not literally, I mean be confident and happy) and can do it better than others.

Anyways, thanks again and wish you all good luck!

@ elise -

My first wife died of breast cancer at age 34.

Afterwards I spent several years working with a breast cancer survivor self help group. One of the things that shocked my and ultimately led to me leaving the group was the inability of many of the husbands/partners to cope with the disease. Particularly after a mastectomy.

Not sure I should blame god for her death, but if you want to give it credit for your strength in coping with this disease - go ahead.

Personally I give you the credit.

This is inspiring. Life should be lived, not merely survived by going through the motions.
