Hi Alex,

I don't have children but found your article very touching.

I would like to see some kind of association dedicated to finding fathers good part-time work so they have time for their families.

I really appreciate your sharing.Being a mother has been a wonderful experience to me.Although we sometimes find ourselves lost in everyday life and challenges, being with them is the most important thing.Luckily I haven't gone through divorce, but things are not easy anyway. My husband and I try spend all the time we can with our kids, even when the one who is married. One of the things we're proud of is that they know we'll always be there when they need us, even to share some time together, watching a movie, going out or anything they like.I hope everything is going well with you both.My prayers are with you.Love from Argentina

I am so very proud of you, it takes a lot of courage and maturity to own up the way you did. All of your ideas on parenting are sure to be with me for life. I especially want to thank you for the idea of carving out time for each child, to make them feel special. I now remember that every time I got a chance to do something with either parent alone, without my brother present, I felt very important and loved. Although I do love my brother so very, very much, I know that as a child it was important to me to feel that I wasn't just one of the children. I will keep the idea in mind. Hopefully I will have my own children in the future, and if/when I do, I will remember to try and make them feel loved and special.
