And in me wake hope, fear, boundless desire. – George MacDonald
What is the one thing that gets you up in the morning and keeps you going all day long? What do you burn for?
I’m burning right now. I burn for my wife and children. I burn for the idea that helping others isn’t a waste of time and I burn for the idea that keeping hope alive, no matter the obstacles, isn’t a fantasy.
And in a quiet moment, when I shift my attention to a more personal place, I can feel my soul. It’s on fire – burning for me.
Burning for something
I burn for my purpose; for the reason I was made. I burn for the words I have written and I burn for the inspiration experienced in life’s simple moments. I burn for making a difference and I burn for reminding people that everyone is worthy to receive love.
I burn for something bigger than me, but it’s up to me to ignite the fire.
What about you?
What’s your passion? You don’t need permission to burn. You don’t need to wait for the perfect time or for the perfect opportunity. You were born with the fire already inside.
Is it time ignite it? Is it time to fan your fire and let the flames touch the sky?
Do you have a masterpiece, a book or a cause to share with the world? Do you have a thought, an invention or an idea that will change the world?
Now, more than ever, the world needs your passion, your fire; and your desire to burn for something.
Sometimes the simple path to burning for something begins with taking a moment to feel the flame in your soul and then remembering it’s up to you to fan it even higher with your deliberate passion.
I feel a shift coming. It feels like the ground is about to open up and spurt fireballs. But instead of the fire consuming me, it is giving me the power, the energy, to ignite my soul and keep it burning – burning for the reason I was made.
I am burning.
And I have never felt more alive.
