7 Days of Inspiration Challenge (#7DI)

7 days of inspiration

Change your thoughts and you change your world. – Norman Vincent Peale

The world isn’t always an easy place to live. Financial hardship, terrorism, and abuse of power hang over our world like a thick blanket blocking the light, smothering our spirit and then making us anxious and afraid. We are left finding ways to stretch our paychecks and protect our families while not losing our faith.

But no matter how difficult things can be, I still believe life is a miracle. I still believe you and I were made to make a positive difference. I still believe you and I were made to inspire others with our words, actions and thoughts.

And I believe sharing inspiration is what will change the world.

To see the incredible power inspiration can have, join me for the 7 Days of Inspiration Challenge. Here how it works:

  • Beginning today, commit to reading and then sharing at least one inspirational thought. You can find seven inspiring things below.
  • When sharing inspiration on Facebook or Twitter, be sure to use the hashtag #7DI.
  • Share the places where you find inspiration in Comments below. It can be a song, book, poem or a blog or website, including your own. Reading by email? Click through to the site to share.
  • I will be sharing inspiration by making my Amazon Best Seller 20 Simple Paths to an Amazing Life free from January 27 – 31. Please grab a free copy for yourself and consider sharing it with others, too.

Day 1: No Regrets

Post this note on your mirror, put it on your bedside or placed it in your pocket, so you will be reminded of its powerful truth on the days you feel discouraged.

Day 2: Let Go

Be strong enough to let go and patient enough to wait for what you deserve.

Day 3: Strong Enough

Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. – A. A. Milne

Day 4: Be Yourself

You can’t please everyone. They own their thoughts, reactions, and beliefs. So instead of feeling stressed and frustrated, just be yourself and welcome the peace and happiness that will come your way.

Day 5: Beginning Again

This video will inspire you to make a fresh start. It can be scary. But it will be life changing. All it takes is that first step.

Day 6: Focus on What’s Right

You can focus on what’s wrong in your life, or you can focus on what’s right. – Marianne Williamson

Day 7: Keep the Faith

Faith includes noticing the mess, the emptiness and discomfort, and letting it be there until some light returns. – Anne Lamott

Seven days. Seven inspirational words, thoughts or actions. Seven days to inspire and be inspired. Seven days to remove the blanket and let in a little more light.

And after the seven days are over, sharing inspiration could become a habit that makes the world an easier place to live.

Remember: Share the inspiration #7DI

  • Alex,
What a wonderful post! I’m going to go back and re-read. I think inspiration is so important in life, whether it’s a huge inspiration to write a book or a small one like a dragonfly just to be amazed by life.

I’m inspired by quotes, books, people, nature and my family and friends. Also, small things like dragonflies!! 🙂

    • Hey Betsy, my wife, Mary Beth, feels the same way about dragonflies. Thank you for sharing your inspiration!

  • Victor Schueller

Thanks for sharing what inspires you. I find inspiration comes from just observing. Observing people, events, nature, you name it. I really thank you for being an inspiration to me in many ways. Thanks so much!
